About Me

I came to the U.S. from Vietnam when I was sixteen. My dad was an electrician, and he used to let me handle his tools, which sparked the curiosity I still carry today.

In 2012, I moved to New York City and tried to start a headshot and wedding photography business. It didn’t work out, but it pushed me toward tech, where I’ve found a career I enjoy because it lets me solve complex problems every day. Now I live in Brooklyn with my wife and our cat, Pom.

Outside of work, I spend a lot of time in the kitchen. Cooking dinner every night has become something I look forward to — it’s my way to unwind and stay creative. I also swim and bike whenever I can, and when the weather’s right, I’ll take long rides to clear my head.

Travel is another big part of my life. My wife and I love exploring new places together — from Thailand and Vietnam in 2023 to Japan in the summer of 2025. At home, I tinker with projects both practical and fun: running our local DNS server on Raspberry Pi, setting up smart home systems, and fixing whatever needs fixing around the house.
